In detail:
Greg brings a wealth of regulatory and financial services expertise, focussing his work on simplifying risk management for his clients, enabling them to make better decisions, and thereby grow their business and protect their customers.
Having begun his career at a global investment bank in New York, rotating through different desks, Greg gained a holistic understanding of how banks operate. As a result of the 2008 Financial Crisis, Greg was fascinated by the influx of new regulations aimed at protecting customers and monitoring and reducing risk taking. He has advised banks on risk management and regulatory compliance ever since.
Greg utilises his experiences to guide CEOs and CROs in understanding, managing, and mitigating their risks via designing and implementing global financial and non-financial risk management frameworks. One of his proudest moments at Baringa involved delivering a series of highly interactive training sessions across multiple business units at a global bank, pre, during, and post COVID-19 lockdowns, collaborating with 1500+ attendees in 60+ countries. These sessions directly resulted in the heads of businesses successfully passing an external review on their understanding of non-financial risk.
Greg takes a personal approach to each of his clients, building long lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect. He takes time to ensure a clear understanding of his client’s goals, motivations, and working styles.
Outside of work, Greg is a devoted husband and father to three children. On weekends he can often be found enjoying South London’s many beautiful parks with his family. Greg is a vocal advocate of Shared Parental Leave, having taken it himself twice.
