Simon joined as a Partner in 2014 from a major investment bank. He has successfully delivered change in the key functions of Front Office, Operations, Risk and Finance. He specialises in optimisation of the trade lifecycle to reduce cost and operational risk through automation and a simplified architecture.
Prior to joining Baringa, Simon set up Transaction Management Business Architecture for a major investment bank. Across Cash and Derivative products, he put in place governance mechanisms to approve investment and set strategy.
His consulting experience in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific includes working at the heart of regulatory change in the global OTC derivatives industry. He has programme managed technology implementations, regulatory compliance and process transformation across the G14.
Simon draws on his system implementation experience to design and deliver practical outcomes. His approach applies process thinking to the front‐to‐back lifecycle of trade data so that results are sustainable.
He has a reputation for genuine collegiality developed over 14 years in consulting. Coupled with a sense of realism, he brings unique insights to the challenges faced having worked as both client and consultant.
His four children and loving wife keep him from losing perspective; even when he fails to perfectly balance work, church and family commitments. And whenever the opportunity arises, Simon can be found supporting England Rugby at Twickenham or from the comfort of his favourite armchair.
