Baringa chooses to move beyond B Corp
14 January 2025
Global management consulting firm Baringa has decided not to renew its B Corporation (B Corp) certification in May 2025, as part of its refreshed sustainability strategy.
Adrian Bettridge, Baringa’s managing partner, said: “B Corp is a fantastic movement, and our accreditation has been an important milestone and a foundational experience for us. But the next stage in our sustainability journey takes us in a different direction.
“As we’ve done for 25 years, we want to continue our work in the energy sector helping our clients on the road to net zero. Some of this work would be affected as B Corp update their criteria. We’ve loved being a B Corp, we wish them well and we will continue to support and collaborate with them after our certification lapses.”
As it scales its business, Baringa will relentlessly pursue its sustainability ambitions, and continue to deliver positive impact through client work. The firm’s partnership agreement will retain the commitments the firm has made to sustainability; the company will continue to donate time, skills and money through community programmes; and remains committed to achieving science-based carbon emissions reduction targets.
Baringa is recognised by the Great Place to Work organisation in every geography where it does business, and will continue to aim to excel at this benchmark.
