In detail:
Alex is a Partner in the Consumer Goods and Retail practice at Baringa. He specializes in front office large scale transformations growth strategy, and global route-to-market strategy.
Once upon a time, after graduating college with a degree in bio-medical engineering, Alex’s early career started with developing and customizing technology to improve customer relationships across a variety of industries. It was not long until Alex came across several consumer packaged goods clients which desperately needed help with re-architecting their operating models across Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to drive profitable growth. 25+ years later, Alex’s curiosity for most complex industry issues, and stamina to see transformational change agendas through, helped him develop techniques and approaches to support consumer product manufacturers and retailers advance their growth strategies and route-to-market capabilities. Prior to joining Baringa, Alex was a Partner at Accenture and PwC.
Alex has significant experience in multiple industry competencies: trade promotion management and optimization, customer finance, revenue growth management, analytics, in-market execution, distributor management, supply chain planning, shopper marketing, e-commerce, sales & operations planning, integrated business planning, and product life-cycle management. Functional and technical depth across these domains helped Alex build and advance a variety of industry leading practices to improve B2B and B2C engagement models.
Alex’s other passion is building teams and helping the people around him succeed. He recalls: “when I think about my career thus far, I almost feel like it is a product of divine intervention – at almost every critical juncture of my career there was a person who (1) believed in me, (2) created opportunities for me, (3) helped me learn, and (4) cheered me on. If anything, one lesson that I learned in my lifetime is that there is no such thing as self-made, and I feel that it is upon me to help future generation of leaders”.
Alex is associated with many marquis client transformational successes across various industry sub-sectors and a wide diversity of markets globally. A few years ago, Alex helped his client deliver revenue management, sales planning & execution capabilities across 20+ markets, which resulted in tangible profitability improvements. The coolest part about these types of programs is the human factor – multi-cultural and diversity-rich environments are like a petri dish for innovation and creative thinking.
Alex resides in Atlanta GA with his wife and two kids and enjoys endurance activities. You may also occasionally find him outside his house cutting grass – a pastime, which by some Georgia South measures, is considered a state sport.
