What's your favourite place in the world?
Anywhere with family and friends: you can’t beat quality time with those you love; and if that happens to be somewhere with spectacular views and amazing food, then all the better.

In detail

Paul joined Baringa in 2021 and has more than twenty years’ experience delivering large-scale data transformations, including 10 years in senior industry roles, including Global Head of Data Governance for Barclays and Data Protection Officer for Nationwide Building Society.

Paul has been directly accountable for engagement with several regulators on data management matters. He has setup and run multiple initiatives to address regulations including BCBS239, Solvency II and GDPR.

Paul focuses on value and outcomes first. Delivering fast results whilst building sustainable capability; and doing so in a way that regulatory compliance is delivered as a positive side-effect “by design”, rather than it being the main purpose of the work.

He has written several books about Enterprise Data Management and has been a pioneer in the use of generative AI, including being one of the first people in the world to write a 500+ page book using ChatGPT.

Outside of work, Paul is a father of three, so his weekends with the kids tend to revolve around activities with them; and he loves spending time outside, on coastal walks and meeting up with friends.
